Program Completion
At the conclusion of the Induction Program, Teacher Candidates participate in campus-based colloquiums with their Induction peers, principals, and mentors and engage in reflective conversations that center around their ILP goals, inquiry cycles, and CSTP elements. Following these colloquiums, the Induction program hosts a celebratory ceremony at the district office where Teacher Candidates are recognized for their successful completion of their Induction journey.
How do I apply for a Clear Credential? As program completion nears, our Credential Analyst reaches out to each Teacher Candidate, informing them of the next steps to apply for a Clear Credential. In addition, the Induction mentors help facilitate the process by ensuring that each candidate has met the requirements to be recommended for a Clear Credential.
Can I finish early? While it is uncommon to finish Induction early, an Early Completer Option (ECO) is available for those Teacher Candidates who have the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies required of all Teacher Candidates who complete the full-length Induction program.
What if I switch districts?Occasionally, a Teacher Candidate may need to switch school districts in the middle of the Induction program. In that event, our program will provide the candidate with an Induction Transportability Document upon leaving CJUHSD. This document can be given to the personnel department of the new school district and will allow the candidate to resume Induction without losing a year of completion.
What if the district stops providing an Induction program? In the unlikely event that the District must close its Induction program, every effort will be made to ensure that Teacher Candidates are able to transition to a locally-based institution, with minimal disruption, in order to successfully clear their credential.
